Course Overview

This comprehensive one-day course is designed for individuals required to perform basic maintenance and operate safely and effectively. The training covers all aspects of handling, including risk assessment, PPE selection, basic procedures, and emergency response.

What you'll learn

Course Content
  • Recognising and responding to an emergency situation.
  • Performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on an adult, child and infant.
  • Using an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively.
  • Managing bleeding, shock, burns, fractures, sprains, and strains.
  • Responding to poisoning, bites, stings, and anaphylaxis.
  • Assessing the casualty and monitoring their condition.
  • Recording and reporting incidents in a workplace setting.
Requirements
  • Perform at least 2 minutes of CPR on an adult manikin on the floor.
  • Understand and communicate basic English.
  • Bring valid photo ID on the day of your practical session.
